Millie Fincke helped establish one of the nation's first medical helicopter programs. The program sped up transports from accident scenes and from rural hospitals to Pittsburgh hospitals. Millie was a leader in professionalizing and advancing emergency nursing. She served as President of the Emergency Nurses Association in 1975.
