    I am new to ENA and was just able to find the Virginia State Council page. I have been a critical RN for 15 years and will be sitting for my CEN exam this month (already scheduled). I currently work in Franklin, VA in a rural ER. We are the only rural ER in our market with our organization. I attended the rural trauma course put on by VCU in November and had an idea to implement a rural trauma protocol for our ER due to being the only rural ER in our market (as stated above) as a GAIN project (clinical advancement). This was approved to start working on by our medical director and my ER director, so I am reaching out to see if anyone in this group has a protocol they may use for rural trauma and expedited transfer to an appropriate transfer center.
