    Dear PECCs and Chapter/Council Leaders,

Our first PECC check-in of the year on Jan. 27th was fantastic.  We had 58 participants join from all over the country.  Robin Goodman shared some updated information about the new Joint Policy Statement and Technical Report from the AAP/ACEP/ENA and ACS; Pediatric Readiness in the Emergency Department. Don't forget to add the NPRP Assessment beginning March 3, 2026 and ending May 31, 2026 to your calendars now.  On March 3rd, Go to this website to print out the assessment pdf and begin to gather the data needed to complete the assessment Pediatric Readiness Assessment - Home Page

It is imperative that you be honest when you complete the assessment in order to have an accurate picture of your readiness and get a complete gap analysis to begin your journey to improving your pediatric readiness score. Lay your eyes on the policies, staff competency assessment tools, quality metrics etc. to answer the question on the assessment. Collaborate with you Medical Directors.  Remember, a low initial score is a starting point to improve.

We decided to initiate a registration process for the PECC check in which will automatically put future check ins on your calendar.  Here is the link to register and the link to the ImPACTS community of practice where you can find the recordings for all of the PECC check-ins we have done including the last one with such great new information.

Our next check-in for PECCs will be February 24, 2026 At 1pm Central Time.

Here are the links to the ImPACTS website page (community of practice) to register for the PECC Check In Zoom calls. The 2025 recordings are all on there, and the 2026 recordings will be there too. Please share with all PECCs that you know who might be interested in joining. We had a wonderful turnout in Dallas at the ENA Leadership Conference.  So many of you were able to put a gold star on our map representing your Council's initiative to support Pediatric Readiness.  I hope you all picked up the flyer with the Top 10 things ENA Leaders can do to promote Pediatric Readiness.  I'm going to attach it to this post.  Please complete the short survey with the top QR code to give us information about your Chapter or Council efforts. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and talked about Pediatric Readiness.  Keep up the great work supporting hospital EDs to be Pediatric Ready. After all, it is our members who are leading the EDs across our country.  Who better to promote Peds Ready than our ENA Councils and Chapters.
