Participation helps EDs identify gaps in Pediatric Readiness and is vital to improving outcomes in your community and for all children. |

All EDs that see children should complete the assessment. Please go to the website TODAY and print the assessment pdf. There is data required that will take time to gather. Tell your ED Nurse leader about the assessment and encourage them to start today. They can identify who will complete the assessment. If you are the nurse that will come back to the portal and enter that data, go ahead and locate your hospital link by clicking on the "Let's Get Started" tab, find your state, county and hospital. Click your hospital's link and complete the demographics. This will ensure that you can come back and complete the assessment and no one else can complete your hospital's assessment in the portal. If you go to your hospital and the name is "grayed out," it means that someone else has opened your hospital's assessment. Let your ED leaders know.
This assessment closes on MAY 31st.
ED Leaders, take your time to assure the assessment is completed accurately and honestly. Lay eyes on the equipment, policies, quality and disaster plans that include kids, before answering yes to those questions. Your Pediatric Readiness Score is a starting point to improve your readiness to provide the best pediatric emergency care. The assessment is confidential and no PHI is collected.
