2020 Trauma Symposium

When:  Mar 12, 2020 from 07:30 AM to 04:15 PM (ET)
Associated with  Ohio State Council

Why this seminar?

Trauma has been identified by the American College of Surgeons as the #1 killer of Americans ages 44 and under. Because of the urgency involved in treating trauma victims, it is especially imperative for physicians, nurses and other health care professionals to keep abreast of current practices in the management of these patients.

As an ACS Verified Level I Trauma Center, a teaching hospital and a major tertiary care center, Mercy Health — St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital is committed to providing ongoing trauma education opportunities. The goal of this symposium is to provide contemporary information related to the care of trauma patients.

Please join us in welcoming several visiting lecturers who are experts in various aspects of trauma care.

Why these topics?

Topics for this symposium are based on literature review, identified public health issues and medical audit results.

Who should attend?

The topics presented are designed for multidisciplinary specialties involved in the care of trauma patients, including emergency physicians, surgeons, nurses, EMS providers, physical therapists and other health care professionals.

For your comfort, we recommend you bring a sweater since the conference rooms may be cool.
