This six-hour virtual and in-person, instructor-led event for multiple disciplines is designed to increase understanding of the pediatric patient suspected of abuse. The event will cover various topics: abusive head trauma, identifying potential victims of pediatric human trafficking, Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma-informed care for multidisciplinary health care workers, burns and pediatric abuse, and the different modalities to starting the healing process associated with therapy. We will also have a nationally recognized motivational speaker, author, and survivor of child abuse to open this year’s symposium. This symposium is being offered for 6 CEUs.
