Can anyone share triage surge plan/policies? We are trying to initiate a protocol for when our lobby census spikes and we have limited to no beds available. What's your process for decompressing the lobby, reassessing your patience in the lobby, who does that responsibility fall on

    Hi, Diana,

The Pediatric Pandemic Network has many resources that can be helpful in preparation for surges as well as planning for disaster response. You can access the resources for surge planning here Pediatric Surge Recommendations and Resources | Pediatric Pandemic Network

If you send me your email address, I can share a template for generic planning from our system. My email is Penelope.Blakemsn@gmail.com. I see you are in Gainesville. Can I interest you in joining our distribution list for the Florida Pediatric Readiness Program group? We are working together to ensure all Florida EDs have what they need for Pediatric Readiness. We offer support in the way of monthly Zoom meetings to share information and experiences, monthly webinars with pediatric educational topics, free regional training classes for nurse PECCs, and a library of resources for those in the pediatric emergency setting. Let me know if you would like to be added.
