I am not in FL so I would be virtual...but ped critical care in adult setting and we do have a small pop of autistic kids that come in so neurodivergent peds in the ed would be awesome.

All are fantastic topics. I would definitely be interested in learning better techniques for caring for neurodivergent patients in the ED. I work in a Level 1 Trauma Peds ER in NYC and we have many patients with sickle cell, so if you needed a (virtual) lecturer or help preparing that presentation, I would be happy to help! The ENA also has a great infographic for care of children with sickle cell in the ED!

    Hi Penny,

I think any of these would be fantastic topics, however if I had to choose, I would like the Basics of Pediatric Code Interventions, Developing Pediatric Code Simulation Drills and Utilizing Free Resources from the NPRP to Make Your ED Pediatric Ready.  I am in Texas so it would have to be virtual for me.

    Thanks

    Becky

I hope this response is not too late. I just found you guys and this page, and this is phenomenal! I am fan-girling a little bit. There are some nurses here that I so very admire and aspire to be on this page; it is unreal!! Your knowledge and contributions have been invaluable to me and thousands of other nurses! Thank you so much for that!!

I agree, I think a lot of these topics would be fantastic!  I am a military spouse, and I frequently end up in places with no pediatric-specific ERs, leaving me as the only peds guru in a mixed ER. Being able to bring any of this back and share it with adult staff would be so wonderful.
That being said, with this cold and flu season the way it is, especially in the Midwest, I think the respiratory topic would be an amazing start if it hasn't already been done. We're seeing a lot of flu-like illnesses, and kids are still testing negative for everything. Extra knowledge and insight would be so great right now.
Looking forward to learning from you all!!
    Warm Regards,
    Caitlyn
