    Hello,

We are a pediatric level 3 trauma center, that services over 33,000 square miles and we are reviewing our MCI plans. Is there any facility that is similar to us that would be willing to share information with each other regarding workflows and processes. I am more than willing to set up a teams call for anyone who would be interested in sharing information in order to serve of special pediatric population.

    Hi, Jessica,

Wanted to let you know there are several resources available to you on the Emergency Medical Services for Children website to help with surge, MCIs, and disasters.

Sample Pediatric Disaster Plan and Implementation Checklist

Pediatric Integration in Emergency Disaster Drills

    EIIC Policies, Procedures, and Protocols

ENA also has free resources including a great toolkit that includes planning and implementation for pediatric populations: Store

Topic Brief: Disaster Planning: Preparing for Pediatric Surges Store

Hope these are of some help. I am no longer involved in our facilities' planning but still have access to some documented processes, so you can PM me if someone who is more active does not respond to you soon.

Hi, Jessica! I am happy to share some workflows and processes from our facility but we're an urban Level 1 Trauma, so not sure it will be particularly applicable to your facility. I included here two badge buddies I designed as part of a MSN Nursing Education project (I built a google classroom on An Introduction to MCI Response Training). You can adjust for your facility, helpful for the nurses working during a disaster!
