    Posted 20 days ago

    Hello everyone!

As we all waiting on the fix to the Broselow Tapes, we have found another length-based weight tape and wanted to see if anyone had any experience using it. The

PediaTape Quick Tape looks like it is just a tape measure that is used to get the weight and does not have of the medications or equipment which is more what we use it for anyway (we have our own equipment and medication lists). We just wanted to know if anyone else has used this and how it went.

    Thanks!

    Jim Kelly

Hi James! We are an Avera facility and we were told by our leadership to dispose of all Broselow tapes immediately. We ordered the regular pediatape that is similar to the Broselow and received them. The quick tape seems great but the regular tape has the equipment and medication doses very similar to the Broselow. You may want to hold off on ordering as I know there is a new version coming out in March!

    Hi Jim,

Here in Malta, within the Paediatric Emergency Department, we use the same tape. We replaced the Broselow tape following the batch recall. It has proven to be very effective and extremely helpful when a quick weight estimation is needed, particularly in pre-hospital settings or within the department, especially in the resuscitation room.
