  • ENA DAY ON THE HILL: APPLICATION

    As emergency nurses, you have firsthand experience on how health care laws and regulations directly affect emergency nursing and patient care. This knowledge gives you a unique perspective on health care policy. The ENA Government Relations team is here to help you harness your expertise to make our country’s emergency departments safer and to deliver to our patients the highest quality of care possible.

    As a Alabama state representative of the ENA you will spend a day learning how to advocate effectively for ENA’s legislative priorities. You will also be required to attend a day of orientation while in DC. The orientation will give you all the information you need to have a successful meeting with our State Senators and House Representatives. You will have the opportunity to meet with congressional leaders and their staff to discuss how they can have a positive effect on the future of emergency nursing.

    Please complete the following application if you are interested in representing our state at the 2022 Day on the Hill. We currently have allocations for 3 representatives. If you are chosen to participate in the events of The Day on The Hill, Alabama ENA will pay for all room costs, travel costs, and you will receive a stipend for meals. You will travel 5/2/22 to DC, you will travel home 5/5/22.

    All the information needed to be a successful participant of DOTH will be provided to you in a timely manner by Tammy Matthews, Government Affairs chair, if chosen to participate. You must attend all sessions and appointments with the
    House Representative and Senators, along with 2 other participants.
