I am trying to find out if Vermont RN Scope of Practice allows RN's to place External Jugular IV's. I know we have the decision tree and I'm pretty confident this is okay since it is technically a peripheral line, however, I want to be certain before moving forward with training. Our nurses would only do this in a trauma or critical situation.
