Virginia State Council

Sheena and I are very grateful for community and infrastructure the VENA provides. We are excited to get a local SIG on its feet and hope to incorporate the ENA mission and vision in such an underserved and rural population here in VA. That being said, we realize the great foundation of experience we have supporting us in this current board and membership, and are seeking any and all mentorship as we move forward. I wanted to start a discussion post as I can update along the way and refer back to things posted here. We have the rough draft of our first SIG meeting outlined and believe the next appropriate action is to engage our local community. We have a few meetings set up with emergency department and hospital leadership, our goal is to identify their areas of need and our possible role in shaping the future of emergency nursing within their department. One of the objectives, identified early on, is membership rates. Among all other tips, does anyone have specific details on membership material that may benefit us as we move forward. Does ENA or VENA have pamphlets, brochures, flyers etc. that can be disseminated to bolster membership and engagement prior to announcing our first SIG meeting?
