Excellent Question- at Wellstar it is not our practice and our policy says if they are an ED boarder then they need to have their admission documentation- including care plan within 24 hours. We request someone from Float pool or floor complete this documentation for safety of order review, etc. Especially since ED nurses do not document like Acute Care.
