The NPRQI has a data base you can track your pediatric patient data on that I use to help assist in my QI projects. We also have a QI meeting quarterly with our quality and risk management department at the hospital. I do monthly chart adults, mostly on admissions, transfers, NAT/abuse, and critically ill/injured.

I would also like some information on what you have found best for initiating a quality improvement system specifically for the pediatric population?.

Performance Improvement Patient Safety. After doing a little more digging, a Quality Improvement project seems more appropriate for our system.
